Call Target Box during regular business hours (Mon – Sat, 8 am – 12 pm) for assistance.
You can provide the lock to your storage or moving container. We do not have access to your Target Box, as you will have the only set of keys. If you’d like to provide friends or family with access to your unit, please give them a key and notify us that they have access. You will also need to contact your Target Box consultant to arrange a time to meet up.
Our second-hand shipping containers are usually between 10 and 15 years old. They may have surface rust and dents, but are structurally sound and watertight. Our new shipping containers have been used once – for shipping in – and may have minor dents and scratches.
Target Box units are modified shipping containers used for trans-ocean and cross-country shipping. Entirely cased in steel, they are strong and weatherproof.
Yes, you can! Our Target Box containers offer a dry, safe place to park your vehicle. We also offer outdoor storage for almost any size of car, truck, or RV. Call us for details, and to check availability.
Our storage yards are gated and fenced to keep your belongings protected 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Target Box units are designed to deter thieves. Our containers are made of heavy 8-gauge steel, with extra-strong cross members and corner posts. Our new units also come with a special lockbox system to protect your padlock from bolt cutters.
Yes! Our storage and moving containers are made of steel and are designed to withstand all weather conditions. Your valuables will be protected from the elements!
Our 10 ft container can hold the contents of most one-bedroom homes, apartments or condos. If you have a two-to-three-bedroom home, you probably need our 20 ft container, while our 40ft container offers plenty of space for the contents of even the largest residence.
We supply used and new (one-trip) containers, depending on your needs.
That depends on whether you want to add a door or transform your unit into a mobile office. Visit our modifications page for more details, and call us at 519-266-4015 to discuss your project.
When it comes to customizing your storage unit, the possibilities are almost endless. Common modifications include: adding a main door, installing windows, adding a 4’, 6’ or 8’ roll-up door, barn door, and louvered vents. We can also install basic electrical needs, including outlets and lighting. All our units come with hardwood floors, operable doors, and ventilation holes. And since they are built with steel construction, they are already virtually wind, water, fire, and rodent proof.
Of course! We’re happy to install shelving brackets on one, two, or three sides of your Target Box. We don’t know what you’ll be storing, so it’s up to you to provide the shelving. Most people find 2” x 10” wooden boards work well.
Once your Target Box container has been delivered, you are free to pack and unpack at your own pace. Please note that we rent our containers on a monthly cycle. If you would like to pro-rate your final month, please call our office to make arrangements.
Target Box has secure storage sites in London and Cambridge, designed to keep your belongings safe until you are ready for them. We’ll select the secure storage site based on your storage needs.
Start by giving us a call at 519-266-4015, or by filling out and submitting our online “Request Your Quote” form – we’ll get back to you, usually within one business day. You’ll be asked to complete a rental agreement and will need a valid Visa or Mastercard to secure your order. In most cases, your Target Box unit will be delivered within 24 hours!
We require a government-issued driver’s license. Please contact us directly if you don’t have one.
We recommend obtaining content insurance from your current provider to cover goods in transit. Your insurance company can contact us directly with any questions about our secure storage facility.
Yes. Target Box will not lock you into an unnecessary contract. Whether you’re looking for long-term storage or a short-term moving container, you have the option of paying monthly or bi-monthly without being locked into a 3, 6, or 12-month contract.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and post-dated checks. Online payment is coming soon!
Of course! Target Box rents units on a four-week cycle, but you always have the option of moving mid-cycle. If you know that you don’t need your unit for a full cycle, we’ll be happy to pro-rate your payment. Please note that payment is non-refundable and due at the beginning of your rental period.
Of course! Your Target Box consultant can help you determine the storage / moving solution that is right for you. We will ask about the items you need to store, your location, and your time frame to make sure your unit is the right fit.

We’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule. Target Box can deliver your containers during the morning or afternoon, but we are unable to guarantee a specific delivery time.
We operate 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. Your Target Box consultant can confirm a convenient delivery and pick-up time.
Absolutely. We know that not all properties can accommodate our delivery trucks – which require a length of 70 feet to place a 20-foot unit. If we are unable to bring a container to you, you have the option of storing your Target Box unit at our secured storage yard. We’ll keep your unit safe for as long as you need, and if your new home has more room we’ll even deliver it when you move.
Target Box requires a clear area that is 12 feet wide, 15 feet high, and 60 feet long in order to place a storage or moving container on your property. If you live in a condo or apartment, please secure prior approval from your property manager and schedule elevator times if necessary. Please ensure adequate clearance and accessibility prior to the delivery of your Target Box unit.
A Target Box consultant will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery time. To make sure your delivery goes smoothly, please be prepared to answer a few questions, including: Where should the container be placed on your property? Which way should the door face? Is the area paved? Are there overhead wires or trees?
We prefer to have someone present the first time we deliver your Target Box. If you, or a designated contact person cannot be available, talk to your storage consultant to make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure your Target Box is placed in the right location, which may require markers or a detailed explanation if no one is present.
Target Box services select markets in Ontario including Woodstock, London, Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo, Guelph, St. Thomas, Tillsonburg, Brantford, and Hamilton – as well as surrounding areas.
Target Box customers will soon be able to reserve and pay for their containers online. Until then, please fill out our ‘Get a Quote’ form on the right side of this pace and a Target Box consultant will contact you within 24 hours to finalize your order and arrange delivery.
Delivery time varies depending on the availability of storage units and delivery trucks, the distance to the delivery location, the number of containers required, and whether your containers require additional accessories. But for most customers, Target Box can deliver your moving or storage unit within 24 business hours of your order being finalized.
Target Box offers a free cancellation policy. No deposit is needed to reserve your container and you can cancel your reservation for any reason without penalty.
