Air Solutions – Custom HVAC Equipment Containers
Description:
When Air Solutions Canada, a Dundas-based leader in industrial compressed air systems, needed a durable and mobile workspace for a specialized project in Fort Erie, Ontario, they turned to TargetBox!
The project called for a custom solution involving two 40-foot high-cube shipping containers that would be installed on helical piles and joined onsite. TargetBox’s design and fabrication team worked closely with Air Solutions to engineer a structure that could withstand heavy-duty industrial use while maintaining easy access and efficient airflow. Over a few weeks, the containers were transformed into a functional, insulated, and professional-grade setup, ready for installation.
The first container featured six roll-up doors (three per side), foam-insulated 2×4 framing, smart panel wall finishes, and multiple openings for ductwork and air intake vents. Its cargo doors were replaced with a framed wall and a double-entry door, while the end wall was removed to connect it seamlessly with the second container.
The second unit was shortened by ten feet to meet site constraints and included four six-foot roll-up doors, a ceiling opening for ductwork, and a 48-inch vent opening for specialized air intake.
After delivery and installation, the two connected containers formed a robust, climate-controlled workspace that perfectly supported Air Solutions Canada’s operational needs, proving once again that the best innovations can happen inside the box.
